Internet Café : Access can be cheap or expensive. Prices range from 20 - 60 baht. Some shops provide minimal service. Others provide services such as printing, FAX, long distance telephoning.

Cable : Charges vary from landlord to landlord or if you live in a Condo/House  - from cable service to cable service.

Wireless : There are many wireless adaptors available in Pattaya. They can range from 3,500-10,000 baht depending on the features you want. I would suggest shopping at TUKCOM on Pattaya Tai, near Day & Night Hotel. It is the largest facility for computer goods.

TIP: A Nokia 3110 cell phone can also double as a wireless adaptor.
You can buy a wireless set-up service kit that includes a cable connecting your phone to your computer. You are then able to access the internet using your phone’s SIM card. If you get a call while on the internet, you can still answer from your Nokia. A second possibility is using something like an Edge Wireless Data Card which houses a SIM card. You plug it into the side of your computer as you would plug in a flash drive and you are now wireless.

Technicians : There are many computer technicians of varying ability and cost. My favorite is Mr A. His charge is 300baht p/hr. His phone number is 08 17 43 70 73. He can solve most problems in 15-30 minutes. So give him lots of problems or “how to” questions so you get your money’s worth. He does the corrections in your home. His English is also better than average. An additional technician I would recommend is Daniel, from Switzerland. He speaks good English and understands Western ways.
